Alexander brings 16 years of international professional experience in the finance field with his professional background covering mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial debt restructuring, turnaround corporate situations, and a variety of corporate finance advisory assignments.
In the United States, Alexander has worked as an Investment Banker for Bank of America Securities Merrill Lynch in New York covering clients in the Consumer and Retail sector, primarily focusing on Food and Beverage and Luxury Goods
sectors as well as on restaurant chain businesses. He was involved in multiple types of corporate finance transactions including initial public offerings (IPOs), private placements (PIPEs), and mergers and acquisitions.
Apart from his international exposure, he also has significant experience in finance advisory in Greece having worked for Vector Partners S.A., a corporate finance advisory boutique firm, having executed a series of transactions including a cross-border acquisition of a leading security services company in the Balkans by the Southeastern European arm of a global security firm, an acquisition of the exclusive distributor of Apple products in Greece, as well as providing strategic M&A advice for a major F&B group in the country.
Furthermore, Alexander has gained operational financial management experience primarily by serving as Chief Finance Officer at Hellenic Seaways Maritime S.A., a leading passenger ferry company in Greece, where he was responsible for the company’s overall financial and risk management activities as well as its information technology functions.
He has also held CFO positions at D-Marin Marinas Group, a private equity backed owner and operator of marinas in the Mediterranean with assets in Croatia, Greece and Turkey, as well as at Enexon S.A., a renewable energy producer from photovoltaic parks ultimately acquired by Enel Green Power.
Alexander holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
